Providence, R.I. – Governor Lincoln D. Chafee announced today three appointments and one re-appointment to the Board of Directors for The Beacon Mutual Insurance Co. The three new members are Jerauld Adams, owner of North American Industries Inc. in Central Falls; Myrth York, a philanthropist, and community and political activist; and Linda D'Amario Rossi, a consultant for state and local government. The re-appointment is Raymond C. Coia, coordinator for the New England Laborers' Tri-Funds.
"All of the new appointments and the one re-appointment will bring unique perspectives to workers' compensation insurance. Their expertise will assist the board in better understanding the work of Beacon Mutual, which is dedicated to creating safer workplaces for Rhode Island employees and helping to ease the financial burden on businesses in the Ocean State," Governor Chafee said. "On behalf of the State of Rhode Island, thank you to the outgoing members whose experience has been an asset to this board."
