The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Steven Pietrowicz and Michelle Morin each with one count of conspiracy, one count of murder, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of failure to report a death. The Grand Jury also reported out a secret indictment charging two other individuals for their role in the death of Domingo Ortiz. The Grand Jury indicted Corey Bickhardt with one count of conspiracy, one count of murder, two counts count of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of failure to report a death. Denise Walker was indicted on one count of failure to report a death.
It is alleged that on or about May 6, 2015, Pietrowicz, Morin and Bickhardt conspired to murder and did murder Domingo Ortiz. It is further alleged that the three individuals and Walker failed to report his death to authorities. Burrillville Police found the body of Ortiz under a cement slab on property at which Pietrowicz and Morin resided.
The Burrillville Police and the Rhode Island State Police conducted the investigation. Pietrowicz and Morin are scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Bickhardt is currently incarcerated in Pennsylvania on unrelated charges and is not yet scheduled for arraignment in Rhode Island. An arrest warrant was issued for Walker.
