The Statewide Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Melissa Castle with one count of murder. It is alleged that on or about August 25, 2015, Castle murdered Rachel Kilroy. The alleged incident took place in Middletown. The Middletown Police conducted the investigation. Castle, who has been held without bail since her arrest, is scheduled to be arraigned in Newport County Superior Court on December 10, 2015.
