The Rhode Island Department of Transportation will re-open the Clarence L. Hussey Memorial Bridge in Wickford on Thursday, October 27, 2016 in the late afternoon, around 3:30 p.m. The bridge re-opening is about three weeks early.
The bridge was closed on September 6 for the second of two periods for repairs. It remained open during the summer to accommodate beach and event traffic into Wickford.
The re-opening will make the bridge accessible to both vehicle and foot traffic.
