Interim Report of the Providence County Grand Jury (Reported February 24, 2017)

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Julio Cano and Trearra Hudgen each with one count of murder, one count of discharge of a firearm resulting in death, one count of conspiracy to commit assault with a dangerous weapon, one count of assault with a dangerous weapon, one count of conspiracy to commit murder, one count of possession of a pistol without a license. Cano was also indicted on a charge of possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine and Hudgen was also indicted on one count of first degree robbery. In addition, the Grand Jury indicted Juscelina DaSilva with one count of misprison of a felony.

It is alleged that on or about October 31, 2016, Cano and Hudgen shot and killed Matthew Reverdes in Pawtucket. It is further alleged that DaSilva concealed the murder to the police. The Pawtucket Police conducted the investigation. All three defendants are scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court before Justice Robert D. Krause on March 14, 2017.
