Veterans Affairs to Hold 6th Town Hall Meeting Saturday, June 3

PROVIDENCE, R.I. The state's Director of Veterans Affairs Kasim J. Yarn will host a town hall-style meeting Saturday in Bristol to hear from veterans and their families on issues of concern to them. Local elected officials and a representative from United Way's 2-1-1 program will be in attendance as well. The "town hall" is the sixth one in a series of community meetings to be held by Director Yarn throughout the state as part of his "I Hear You" outreach initiative.

"I am committed to hearing from our Veterans," said Yarn. "After visiting all 39 municipalities last year to meet with town leaders, I am excited to hold town halls in each and every one of them. Please join us on Saturday in Bristol."

Saturday's meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. in Burnside Memorial Hall, 400 Hope Street, Bristol, RI 02809. For more information, contact Michael Jolin via email at Michael.jolin@vets.ri.gov or by phone at (401) 787-1076.
