Alexander DeJesus (age 24) Pawtucket, RI P1-2017-3579AG
The Statewide Grand Jury reported out an indictment on December 15, 2017 charging Alexander DeJesus with one count of murder, one count of discharge a firearm while committing a crime of violence, and one count of carrying a firearm without a license.
It is alleged that on or about September 24, 2016, DeJesus shot and killed Dylan Contreras in the City of Pawtucket.
A warrant was issued for DeJesus who was arrested on December 21, 2017 by the Chicopee Police Department and extradited to Rhode Island. The indictment was unsealed today when DeJesus was arraigned before Superior Court Justice Robert D. Krause. He was ordered held without bail.
The Pawtucket Police conducted the investigation.
