PROVIDENCE, RI - Governor Gina M. Raimondo issued the following statement today on the 17th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks:
"Today we honor the thousands of innocent victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and pay tribute to the heroism of the first responders who put other people's lives ahead of their own. It is our duty to ensure that their sacrifice is never forgotten. Let us also remember how our country came together 17 years ago in the wake of such tragedy and continues to come together to honor those we have lost and to show the world the resilience of the American people."
