Interim Report of the Statewide Grand Jury (Reported November 19, 2018)

The Statewide Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Samuel Vasquez (alias Samuel Vazquez, alias Samuel Vazques) with six counts of first degree robbery, six counts of using a firearm while committing a crime of violence, three counts of assault with intent to commit robbery, and one count of possession of a firearm after previously being convicted of a crime of violence.

It is alleged that on diverse dates between May 24, 2018 and June 16, 2018, Vasquez committed a string of robberies, using a firearm, and also assaulted three individuals with the intent to rob.

The alleged incidents took place in Cranston and Providence, and the Cranston and Providence Police conducted the investigations.

Vazquez is currently being held without bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court before Judge Robert D. Krause on December 5, 2018.
