On January 11, 2019 the Newport County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Juan Febus with eight counts of first degree child molestation. It is alleged that on or about diverse dates between October 1, 2016 and September 30, 2017, Febus molested a person 14 years of age or under, with the molestation being in the first degree.
The alleged incident took place in Newport and the Newport Police conducted the investigation. Febus, who is currently being held without bail, is scheduled to be arraigned in Newport County Superior Court on January 17, 2019.
