At 10:45AM Troopers arrested Charles Santiago, age 32, of 134 Jewett Street, Apt. 3, Providence, RI on a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Domestic Assault by Strangulation and a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Disposition originating from the Woonsocket Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Beron Street at Douglas Avenue in the City of Providence. Subject was returned to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed before being transported to the Adult Correctional Institute – Men's Intake Center.
At 11:00AM Troopers arrested Steven Cabral, age 35, of 171 Japonica Street, Pawtucket, RI on a Fugitive from Justice Complaint from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for larceny from a building. The arrest was a result of a complaint from the North Attleboro Police Department as Cabral was receiving treatment at RI Hospital for injuries sustained from a Ma. state police K-9. Subject was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace at Rhode Island Hospital and turned over to the Rhode Island Sheriff's Department.
