DEM to Host May 6th Virtual Public Hearing on Draft Regulations For Hunting, Freshwater Fishing, and Falconry Season

PROVIDENCE – The Department of Environmental Management (DEM) will hold a virtual public hearing next week on proposed changes to hunting, freshwater fishing, and falconry regulations. Due to the Covid-19 emergency, which prevents the Division from holding public meetings in-person, the public hearing will be held virtually in accordance with Governor Raimondo's Executive Order 20-05.

To make a public comment during the hearing, participants should click the "Raise Hand" button on the screen. All interested parties are invited to request additional information or submit written comments concerning the proposed amendments for the hunting and falconry rules and regulations by May 14, 2020, and by May 25, 2020 for the proposed freshwater fishing rules, to Ashley Schipritt at ashley.schipritt@dem.ri.gov or via mail at 3 Fort Wetherill Road, Jamestown, RI 02835.
