On Friday, April 15, 2022, at approximately 5:00 a.m., members of the HIDTA Task Force, assisted by members of the North Providence Police Department, arrested Joseph Lavoie, age 40, of 1 McKinley Street Basement, Providence, Rhode Island, for Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance Methamphetamine. This arrest was the result of the execution of a court-authorized search warrant at the conclusion of a narcotics investigation. Mr. Lavoie was transported to the Lincoln Barracks for processing, then arraigned in Third District Court, where he was given surety bail.

On April 15, 2022, at approximately 9:00 AM, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, arrested Benjamin Creighton, age 39, of 1 Jackson Street, Apartment 3, North Providence, RI, for 1) Indecent Solicitation of a Child (2 Counts), 2) Electronically Disseminating Indecent Material to a Minor (3 counts), and 3) License/Permit Required to Carry a Pistol. Mr. Creighton was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and to 3rd District Court for arraignment. Associate Judge Jabour set bail at $10,000 personal recognizance with the special bail condition of no unsupervised contact with minors.

ARREST: 22RIX1-214-AR LOCATION: WARWICK

On Friday, April 15, 2022, at approximately 10:00 AM, members of the Major Crimes Unit and Special Victims Unit arrested Nathan Harrington, age 26, of 75 Mill Street, Coventry, Rhode Island for the following: 1) Three (3 ) counts of Sexual Assault 3rd Degree; 2) Contributing to the Delinquency of a minor. This arrest was the result of an investigation by members of the Major Crimes Unit and Special Victims Unit. Harrington was arraigned at Third District Court and presented as a Superior Court Violator.

ARREST: 22RIX1-183-AR LOCATION: CRANSTON

On Friday, April 15, 2022, members of the ACI Investigations Unit charged Jeremy Jackson, Age 55, of LKA :254 Washington Street, Providence, RI with 1.) DV-Violation of a No Contact Order-3rd or Subsequent Offense. The arrest was the result of an investigation by Detectives assigned to the Fusion Center. Inmate Jackson was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Jabour at Third District Court where he was held pending an appearance as a Superior Court violator.

ARREST: 22RIX1-185-AR LOCATION: CRANSTON

On Friday, April 15, 2022, members of the ACI Investigations Unit charged Ramon Figueroa, Age 36, of LKA : 48 Seabury St, Providence, RI with 1.) DV-Violation of a No Contact Order-3rd or Subsequent Offense. The arrest was the result of an investigation by Detectives assigned to the Fusion Center. Inmate Figueroa was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Jabour at Third District Court where he was held as a 46G bail violator and an appearance as a Superior Court violator.

ARREST: 22RIX1-196-AR LOCATION: CRANSTON

On Friday, April 15, 2022, members of the ACI Investigations Unit charged Joseph Wilson, Age 66, of LKA : 30 Howard Avenue, Cranston, RI with 1.) Bribery of Witnesses and 2.) DV-Violation of a No Contact Order. The arrest was the result of an investigation by Detectives assigned to the Financial Crimes Unit. Inmate Wilson was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Jabour at Third District Court where he was held pending an appearance as a Superior Court violator.

ARREST: 22RIX1-217-AR LOCATION: PROVIDENCE

On April 15 2022, members of the Major Crimes, Auto Theft & Insurance Fraud Unit arrested Jeffrey Lapointe, age 66, of LKA 2 Chapel Lane, Lincoln, Rhode Island, with 1) Access to a Computer for Fraudulent Purposes, 2) Forgery and Counterfeiting in General (2 counts) 3) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses or Personation 4) False Statement to Fraudulently Obtain a License or Registration (2 counts), 5) Larceny >$500 from individual over 65, 6) Making or Using a False Certificate of Inspection. This arrest was the result of an investigation by the Auto Theft and Insurance Fraud Unit. LaPointe was arrested at 622 Union Avenue in the City of Providence, transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing, arraigned by JP Crawford at the barracks and released on $1,000.00 personal recognizance.
