On Sunday, June 18, 2023, at 8:02 AM, Troopers out of the Hope Valley Barracks arrested Michele Matrumalo, age 53, of 210 Liberty Road, Exeter, Rhode Island for 1.) Simple Assault and Battery, 2.) Resisting Legal or Illegal Arrest and 3.) Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to 210 Liberty Road in the Town of Exeter for a disturbance. The subject was processed at the State Police Hope Valley Barracks then transported by ambulance to Kent County Hospital for a mental health evaluation and misdemeanor released from the hospital pending a future court date.
On Sunday, June 18, 2023 at 11:30 PM, Troopers out of the Hope Valley Barracks arrested Connor McGrane, age 23, of 272 Austin Farm Road, Exeter, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and/or Drugs – B.A.C. Unknown – First Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Austin Farm Road, in the Town of Exeter. The subject was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
