On June 30, 2025 at 3:13 PM, Troopers arrested David Smith Jr., age 22, of 33 Manville Avenue, Apt. 1, Lincoln, Rhode Island for a Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Child Endangerment – First Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 6 in the Town of Johnston. Smith was transported to State Police – Headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution- Men's Intake.
On July 1, 2025 at 2:10 AM, Troopers arrested Jhobanye Mendez, age 30, of 10 George Street, Apt. #3, Pawtucket, Rhode Island for 1.) Domestic—Simple Assault and/or Battery and 2.) Domestic—Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of a rolling domestic that occurred on Route 295 in the Town of Cumberland, and Troopers subsequently locating the subject in the City of Woonsocket. Mendez was transported to the State Police – Headquarters where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment as a bail violator.
