On November 12, 2025, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Jayson C. Shute, age 38, of 1439 Main Street, West Warwick, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Warwick Police Department for Felony Larceny and Conspiracy. Mr. Shute was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Warwick Police Department on scene.
On November 12, 2025, members of the Special Victims Unit arrested Matthew Murphy, age 58, of 320 Old Snake Hill Road, North Scituate, Rhode Island, for First-Degree Child Molestation (one count). Mr. Murphy later responded to State Police Headquarters, where he was processed and released.
On November 13, 2025, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Ronica Dejesus, age 28, of 116 Sterry Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Warwick Police Department for the following: 1) Two Counts of Second-Degree Child Abuse; and 2) Three Counts of Cruelty and Neglect of a Child. Ms. Dejesus was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Warwick Police Department on scene.
On November 13, 2025, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Tyrell Cheek, age 30, of 14 Yale Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Warwick Police Department for the following: 1) Second-Degree Child Abuse; and 2) Cruelty and Neglect of a Child. Mr. Cheek was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Warwick Police Department on scene.
On November 13, 2025, members of the Financial Crimes Unit arrested Joshua Campbell, age 42, of 260 Pound Hill Road, North Smithfield, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses over $10,000; and 2) Access to a Computer for Fraudulent Purposes. Mr. Campbell turned himself in at State Police Headquarters, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace who set bail at $10,000 personal recognizance, and released.
On November 13, 2025, members of the Financial Crimes Unit arrested Melissa Acevedo, age 40, of 340 River Avenue, Apartment #2, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses over $10,000; 2) Fraudulently Obtaining Assistance over $500; and 3) Giving False Documents to Agent, Employee, or Public Official. Ms. Acevedo turned herself in at State Police Headquarters, where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace who set bail at $10,000 personal recognizance, and released.

Ms. Walton turned herself in at State Police Headquarters, where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace who set bail at $10,000 personal recognizance, and released.
