At 4:00 PM, Troopers arrested Jason Lavena, age 53, of 1 Hancock Drive, Coventry, Rhode Island on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for the charge of 1) Simple Assault and 2) Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and Mr. Lavena subsequently turning himself into the State Police – Wickford Barracks. Mr. Lavena was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and provided a future Third District Court date.
