At 7:30 PM, Troopers arrested Christopher Gillam, age 48, of 14 Chantilly Drive, Barrington, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor – B.A.C. Unknown – First Offense, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense, 3.) Eluding Law Enforcement -Vehicle in a High-Speed Pursuit, and 4.) Resisting Legal or Illegal Arrest. The arrest was the result of a E-911 call for an erratic operator, and subsequent vehicle pursuit where the subject was arrested on Route 95 North, in the City of Cranston. The subject was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.
At 1:30 AM, Troopers arrested Jeffrey Parenteau, Age 28 of 252 3rd Ave. Woonsocket, Rhode Island, for an Affidavit and Arrest warrant for Contempt of Court on the original charge of Domestic Violence – Criminal Violation of a No Contact Order – 3rd Offense, originating out of the North Kingstown Police Department. This arrest was the result of motor vehicle stop on Route 138 East in the Town of Jamestown. The subject was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, and turned over to the North Kingstown Police Department.
