On Wednesday January 7, 2026, at 10:00 PM, Troopers arrested Alyssa Xavier, age 28, of 23 Hayward St. Fl. 1, Pawtucket, Rhode Island for 1) False Report of a Crime and 2) Obstructing an Officer in the Execution of Duty. This arrest was a result of a barracks investigation and Xavier turning herself in at the Lincoln Woods Barracks. Xavier was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Sixth Division District Court arraignment date.
On Wednesday January 7, 2026, at 10:53 PM, Troopers arrested Jose Vinas, age 18, of 247 Indiana Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island for 1) Reckless Driving – Eluding Law Enforcement Vehicle - First Offense, 2) Reckless Driving and other Offenses Against Public Safety – First Offense, 3) Obstructing an Officer in the Execution of Duty, and 4) Weapons Other than Firearms Prohibited. This arrest was a result of an attempted motor vehicle stop on Broad Street and Troopers later locating the suspect vehicle on Washington Avenue, in the City of Providence. Vinas was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Sixth Division District Court arraignment date.
On Thursday January 8, 2026, at 3:26 AM, Troopers arrested Enrique Sosa, Age 23, of 715 Mineral Spring Avenue, Pawtucket, Rhode Island for 1) Reckless Driving – Eluding Law Enforcement Vehicle – First Offense, 2) Driving with a Suspended License - 4th or Subsequent Offense, and 3) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving With a Suspended License - 4th or Subsequent Offense originating out of the North Providence Police Department. This arrest was the result of an attempted motor vehicle stop on Smithfield Avenue and Troopers later locating the operator walking on Smithfield Avenue, in the City of Pawtucket. Sosa was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and held overnight pending morning arraignment/presentment as a probation violator at Sixth Division District Court.
