On Thursday January 8, 2026, at 12:50 PM, Troopers arrested Michael Carvahlo, age 30 of 355 Paradis Avenue, Woonsocket, Rhode Island for 1.) Obstructing an Officer in Execution of Duty, 2.) Duty to Stop for Accident with Attended Vehicle, and 3.) Reckless Driving. This arrest was the result of a hit and run motor vehicle accident on Route 146 in the City of Providence. Carvahlo was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned/presented as a probation violator, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men's Intake Center.
On Friday January 9, 2026 at 12:59 AM, Troopers arrested Tanya Baptista age 44, of 160 Broad Street, Providence, Rhode Island for Domestic Simple Assault – 2nd Offense. This arrest was the result of Troopers observing an altercation on Main Street in the City of Pawtucket. Baptista was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Sixth Division District Court arraignment date.
On Friday January 9, 2026 at 2:27 AM, Troopers arrested Miguel Raymundo age 43, of 35 Atlantic Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – BAC (Phase 1: .147, Phase 2: .147) – 1st Offense. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Cranston Street in the City of Providence. Raymundo was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
