Scituate Barracks

At approximately 7:10 AM, Troopers arrested Nathan King, age 19, of 11 Navy Drive, Unit 302, North Kingstown, Rhode Island for 1) Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle - First Offense, and 2) Obstructing an Officer in the Execution of Duty. This arrest was a result of a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Route 295 and the fleeing vehicle subsequently crashing on Putnam Pike in the Town of Smithfield. King was transported to Fatima Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash and was later transported to Rhode Island State Police Headquarters, where he was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace. He was released with a future Third District Court date.

At approximately 7:10 AM, Troopers arrested Keigan Church, age 18, of 59 Union Drive, North Kingstown, Rhode Island for 1) Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle - First Offense, and 2) Obstructing an Officer in the Execution of Duty. The arrest was a result of a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Route 295 and the fleeing vehicle subsequently crashing on Putnam Pike in the Town of Smithfield. Church was transported to the Rhode Island State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later transported to Third District Court for morning arraignment.
