At 9:45 AM, Troopers arrested Candido Matias, age 66, of 44 Arch Street, Pawtucket. Rhode Island, for 1.) Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License, originating out of the Smithfield Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 North in the City of Pawtucket. Matias was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed, and later transported to Third Division District Court.
At 10:15 AM, Troopers arrested Alleyah Perry, age 29, of 520 2nd Avenue, Apartment 209B, Woonsocket, Rhode Island for 1) Simple Assault/Battery, and 2) Disorderly Conduct. This arrest was the result of a disturbance and subsequent investigation at 6th Division District Court. Perry was taken into custody by the Rhode Island Sheriff's Department and was later transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
At 8:16 PM, Troopers arrested Joseph Catoni, age 30, of 91 Hartford Avenue, Apartment #322, Providence, Rhode Island for an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for 1.) Manufacture/Sell/Possess with Intent to Sell Schedule I/II Controlled Substance (Cocaine) – 1 Ounce to 1 Kilogram – Second Offense, 2.) Manufacture/Deliver/Possess with Intent to Manufacture/Deliver Schedule I/II Controlled Substance (Crack-Cocaine) – Second Offense, 3.) Manufacture/Deliver/Possess with Intent to Manufacture/Deliver Schedule I/II Controlled Substance (Fentanyl) – Second Offense, and 4.) Eluding Law Enforcement Vehicle in a High-Speed Pursuit – First Offense. This arrest was the result of a barracks investigation by Troopers and Cantoni subsequently being located by Providence Police Department. Catoni was transported to the State Police – Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men's Intake where he was held as a Probation Violator.
