At 8:42 AM, Troopers arrested George Betters, age 40, of 190 Atwells Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance less than 10 Grams (Cocaine), 2.) Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance less than 10 Grams (Crack-Cocaine), 3.) Possession of Schedule I-V Controlled Substance less than 10 Grams (Fentanyl), and 4.) Driving Without a License - 4th or Subsequent Offense. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 295 North in the Town of Lincoln. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment.
At 4:15 PM, Troopers arrested Stephen Laforce, age 48, of 78 Rathbun Street, Woonsocket, Rhode Island for an AG Request - Rule 9 Warrant for Domestic Violence - Felony Assault and/or Battery and Domestic Violence - Disorderly Conduct. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Harris Avenue in the City of Woonsocket. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution - Men's Intake Center.
At 8:14 PM, Troopers arrested Michael Chouinard, age 47, of 114 Baker Road, Swansea, Massachusetts for 1.) Duty to Stop in Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Vehicle. This arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and the subject being located by the Providence Police Department. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Sixth Division District Court date.
