At 10:00 AM, Troopers arrested Jose Alonzo, age 56, of 158 Alverson Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island, as a Fugitive from Justice from the State of Massachusetts on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Assault with a Deadly Weapon, originating out of the Massachusetts State Police – Middleboro Barracks. The arrest was the result Mr. Alonzo being taken into custody at Rhode Island Hospital. Alonzo was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed, and transported to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment.
At 4:44 PM, Troopers arrested Yefferson Lopez Martinez, age 28, of 533 Weeden Street, Apt. 2, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, for 1.) Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for arraignment on the original charge of Operation Under Foreign License, originating out of the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks. The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a motor vehicle accident on Route 95 in the City of Providence. Lopez Martinez was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men's Intake Center.
At 6:49 PM, Troopers arrested Marena Cruz, age 35, of 17 Morton Street, Apt. 2, Providence, Rode Island, for 1.) Throwing Article at Moving Vehicle (Two Counts), 2.) Simple Assault and/or Battery (Two Counts), 3.) Disorderly Conduct, and 4.) Driving with a Suspended License – Certain Violations – First Offense. The arrest was the result of Troopers investigating a road rage incident that occurred on Route 95 in the City of Providence. Cruz was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear at Sixth Division District Court.
At 2:27 AM, Troopers arrested Boris Cruz, age 46, of 148 Webster Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown – First Offense, and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – Second Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Manton Avenue in the City of Providence. Cruz was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed, and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Sixth Division District Court.
At 2:33 AM, Troopers arrested Diamontae Cole, age 26, of 42 Pope Street, Apt. 2, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Shoplifting – Second Offense, originating out of the Providence Police Department, and 2.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Shoplifting – Second Offense, originating out of the Providence Police Department. The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a motor vehicle accident on Route 195 in the city of Providence. Cole was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men's Intake Center.
