Detective Bureau

On May 5, 2026, members of the Detective Bureau arrested Michael Brown, age 48, of 100 Villa Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Stolen Vehicle (6 counts) – Felony; 2) Operation of a Chop Shop – Felony; 3) Alteration of Identification Number (6 counts) – Felony; 4) Insurance Fraud Claim over $1,500.00 – Felony; 5) Conspiracy – Felony; 6) Possession of Motor Vehicle or Part with Altered Identification Number (6 Counts) –Felony; 7) Forgery and Counterfeiting – Felony; and 8) False Statement to Fraudulently Obtain License or Registration - Misdemeanor. Mr. Brown was processed at State Police Headquarters and arraigned in Sixth District Court before the Honorable Judge Stephen M. Isherwood, where he was issued $40,000 surety bail.

On May 5, 2026, members of the Detective Bureau arrested Erik Cardoso, age 43, of 32 Cleveland Street, North Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Stolen Vehicle – Felony; 2) Forgery and Counterfeiting – Felony; 3) Possession of Motor Vehicle or Part with Altered Identification Number – Felony; 4) Conspiracy – Felony; and 5) False Statement to Fraudulently Obtain License or Registration - Misdemeanor. Mr. Cardoso was processed at State Police Headquarters and arraigned in Sixth District Court before the Honorable Judge Stephen M. Isherwood, where he was issued $5,000 surety bail.

On May 5, 2026, members of the Detective Bureau arrested Emery Lima, age 44, of 58 Rose Hill Drive, Cranston, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Stolen Vehicle (5 counts) – Felony; 2) Possession of Motor Vehicle or Part with Altered Identification Number (5 Counts) – Felony; 3) Alteration of Identification Number (6 Counts) – Felony; 4) Operation of a Chop Shop – Felony; and 5) Conspiracy – Felony. Mr. Lima was processed at State Police Headquarters and arraigned in Sixth District Court before the Honorable Judge Stephen M. Isherwood, where he was issued $5,000 surety bail.

On May 5, 2026, members of the Detective Bureau arrested Jolon O'Connor, age 47, of 71 Burns Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Stolen Vehicle (4 Counts) – Felony; 2) Possession of Motor Vehicle or Part with Altered Identification Number (4 Counts) – Felony; 3) Alteration of Identification Number (6 Counts) – Felony; 4) Operation of a Chop Shop – Felony; and 5) Conspiracy - Felony. Mr. O'Connor was processed at State Police Headquarters and arraigned in Sixth District Court before the Honorable Judge Stephen M. Isherwood, where he was issued $10,000 surety bail.

On May 5, 2026, members of the Detective Bureau arrested Carlos Rodrigues, age 43, of 10 Alvina Drive, Johnston, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Stolen Vehicle (2 Counts) – Felony; 2) Possession of Motor Vehicle or Part with Altered Identification Number (2 Counts) – Felony; and 3) Conspiracy – Felony. Mr. Rodrigues was processed at State Police Headquarters and arraigned in Sixth District Court before the Honorable Judge Stephen M. Isherwood, where he was issued $5,000 surety bail.

On May 5, 2026, members of the Detective Bureau arrested Sean Swepson, age 33, of 513 Broadway, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Stolen Vehicle (6 Counts) – Felony; 2) Alteration of Identification Number (6 Counts); 3) Possession of Motor Vehicle or Part with Altered Identification Number (6 Counts) – Felony; 4) Forgery and Counterfeiting – Felony; 5) Operation of a Chop Shop – Felony; 6) Conspiracy – Felony; and 7) False Statement to Fraudulently Obtain License or Registration – Misdemeanor. Mr. Swepson was processed at State Police Headquarters and arraigned in Sixth District Court before the Honorable Judge Stephen M. Isherwood, where he was issued $5,000 surety bail.

On May 6, 2026, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Sean Brazenor, age 45, of 40 Wealth Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Child Pornography; 2) Transfer of Child Pornography; and 3) Large-Capacity Feeding Devices Prohibited (14 counts). Mr. Brazenor was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and transported to Sixth Division District Court.  Mr.  Brazenor was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Stephen M. Isherwood, where bail was set at $4,000 with surety and special conditions of limited internet access and no unsupervised contact with minors. 

On May 7, 2026, members of the HIDTA Task Force arrested Jose Morales, age 31, of 548 Cottage Street, 2nd Floor, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Manufacture/Sell/Purchase/Possess a Ghost Gun/3D Printed Firearm; and 2) Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons Prohibited. Mr. Morales was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and arraigned in Sixth District Court.

On May 7, 2026, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Antonio Carvalho Espirito Santo, age 23, of 22 Dickens Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Pawtucket Police Department for the following: 1) Domestic Violence - Breaking and Entering; 2) Domestic Violence - Kidnapping; 3) Domestic Violence - Felony Assault; 4) Domestic Violence - Violation of No Contact Order; and 5) Domestic Violence - Disorderly Conduct. Mr. Santo was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Pawtucket Police Department on scene.

On May 7, 2026, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Robert Williams, age 61, of 316 Cranston Street, 3rd Floor, Providence, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Providence Police Department for the following: 1) Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Mr. Williams was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Providence Police Department.

On May 7, 2026, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Nathan Corcoran, age 21, of 112 Devonshire Street, Apartment 1, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Child Pornography; and 2) Transfer of Child Pornography. Mr. Corcoran was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and then transported to Sixth Division District Court. Mr. Corcoran was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Stephen M. Isherwood, where bail was set at $20,000 personal recognizance and special conditions of limited internet access and no intentional contact with minors.

On May 7, 2026, the ACI Investigations Unit arrested Cheryl Tyler, age 63, last known address of 293 Harbor Street, Branford, Connecticut, as a Fugitive from Justice from the State of Missouri on an original offense of Larceny. Ms. Tyler was arraigned in Third Division District Court, where she was remanded to the custody of the Sheriffs' Department.

On May 7, 2026, the ACI Investigations Unit arrested Julian Rivera, age 19, last known address of 144 Central Street, Apartment #4, Central Falls, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Domestic Violence - Criminal Violation of a No Contact Order. Mr. Rivera was arraigned in Third Division District Court, where he was remanded to the custody of the Sheriffs' Department

On May 7, 2026, the ACI Investigations Unit arrested William Pompey, age 51, last known address of 162 Marlborough Street, Floor #2, East Greenwich, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Domestic Violence - Criminal Violation of a No Contact Order -3rd or Subsequent Offense. Mr. Pompey was arraigned in Third Division District Court, where he was remanded to the custody of the Sheriffs' Department.

On May 7, 2026, the ACI Investigations Unit arrested Blaze Miranda, age 25, last known address of 30 Burt Street, Acushnet, Massachusetts, as a Fugitive from Justice from the State of Florida for an original offense of Burglary. Mr. Miranda was arraigned in Third Division District Court, where he was remanded to the custody of the Sheriffs' Department.

On May 7, 2026, the ACI Investigations Unit arrested David Pacheco, age 41, last known address of450 Hartford Avenue, Floor 2, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Domestic Violence - Criminal Violation of a No Contact Order -3rd or Subsequent Offense. Mr. Pacheco was arraigned in Third Division District Court, where he was remanded to the custody of the Sheriffs' Department.

On May 7, 2026, the ACI Investigations Unit arrested Jaylen Parisi, age 21, last known address of 109 Louisiana Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Simple Assault/Battery. Mr. Parisi was arraigned in Third Division District Court, where he was remanded to the custody of the Sheriffs' Department.
