At 1:28 PM, Troopers arrested Leandra Nunes, age 35, of 126 Jenckes Street, Woonsocket, Rhode Island for 1.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the charge of Domestic – Simple Assault, originating out of the Woonsocket Police Department, 2.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre Arraignment Conference on the charge of Domestic – Simple Assault, originating out of the Woonsocket Police Department and 3.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre Arraignment Conference on the charge of Domestic – Criminal Violation of No Contact Order, originating out of the Woonsocket Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Carrington Avenue in the City of Woonsocket. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where she was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women's Intake Center.
At 1:52 AM, Troopers arrested Mackenzie Stevens, age 25, of 71 Park Avenue, Wethersfield, Connecticut for 1.) Driving While Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs - B.A.C Unknown 1st Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit Chemical Test. This arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a motor vehicle accident on Route 6 in the Town of Johnston. Stevens was transported to State Police Headquarters where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.
