On June 3, 2026, the ACI Investigations Unit charged Luis Hernandez, age 38, with last known address of 480 East Avenue, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, with the following: 1) Possession of Controlled Substance - Less than 10 grams. Mr. Hernandez was arraigned in Third Division District Court, where he was granted $3,000 personal recognizance and remanded to the ACI.

On June 4, 2026, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Claudio Isaid Vasquez Rodriguez, age 19, of 111 Burnett Street, Apartment #3, Providence, Rhode Island, for Possession of Child Pornography. Mr. Rogriguez was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and transported to Sixth Division District Court. Mr. Rodriguez was arraigned before the Honorable Judge William J. Trezvant, where bail was set at $10,000 personal recognizance, with special conditions of limited Internet access and no intentional contact with minors.

On June 4, 2026, the ACI Investigations Unit charged Joshua Ortiz, age 35, with last known address of 43 Devonshire Street, Providence, Rhode Island, as a Fugitive from Justice from the State of Massachusetts. Mr. Ortiz was arraigned in Third Division District Court, where he waived extradition proceedings and was remanded to the custody of the Sheriffs' Department pending his return to Massachusetts.

On June 4, 2026, the ACI Investigations Unit charged Tyler Carew, age 31, last known address of 26 Whipple Avenue, Smithfield, Rhode Island, with the following: 1) Disorderly Conduct. Mr. Carew was arraigned in Third Division District Court, where he was granted $1,000 surety bail and remanded to the ACI.

On June 4, 2026, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Jonathan J. Mercado, age 27, last known address of 161 Montgomery Avenue Apartment 1, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Pawtucket Police Department for the following: 1) Firing in a Compact Area; 2) Carrying a Pistol Without a License; 3) Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person; and 4) Disorderly Conduct. Mr. Mercado was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Pawtucket Police Department on scene.

On June 4, 2026, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Nickoli Torrico, age 44, of 23B Forand Circle, Johnston, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Cranston Police Department for the following: 1) Felony Shoplifting (4 counts); 2) Felony Conspiracy (4 counts); and 3) Violation of No Contact Order, 3rd Offense (3 counts). Mr. Torrico was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Cranston Police Department.
