LOCATION: EAST PROVIDENCE
On Thursday, August 13, 2026, at approximately 8:30 AM, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested George Torres, age 31, LKA of 26 Mountain Avenue, East Providence, Rhode Island, for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of the East Providence Police Department for 1) (2 Counts) Felony Eluding / Reckless Driving, and 2) Obstruction of Officer Execution of Duty. The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Violent Fugitive Task Force. Mr. Torres was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the East Providence Police Department.

On Thursday, August 13, 2026, the ACI Investigations Unit charged Michael Dwinnell, age 35, with the last known address of 198 Lake Drive, Glocester for 1.) Domestic Violence - Violation of a No Contact Order 3rd Offense. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the ACI Special Investigations Unit and the ACI Investigations Unit. Mr. Dwinnell was arraigned at Third Division District Court where he was held as a Superior Court Violator.

Mr. Nunez was arraigned at Third Division District Court where he was held as a Superior Court Violator.

Domestic Violence - Violation of a No Contact Order 3rd Offense. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the ACI Special Investigations Unit and the ACI Investigations Unit. Mr. Griffin was arraigned at Third Division District Court where he was held as a Superior Court Violator.
LOCATION: JOHNSTON
On August 13, 2026, at approximately 6:30 AM, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Ryan Lees, age 20, of 22 Colony Drive, Johnston, Rhode Island for Possession of Child Pornography. Mr. Lees was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and transported to Sixth Division District Court. Mr. Lees was arraigned before the Honorable Magistrate Joseph P. Ippolito where bail was set at $5,000 with surety, with the special conditions of limited internet access and no contact with minors. Mr. Lees was held as a bail violator and remanded to the Adult Correctional Institution.
