On Saturday October 10, 2026, at 8:32 AM, Troopers arrested Juan Orellana Sosa age 39, of 49 Wilson Street, Providence, Rhode Island on two Sixth District Court Bench Warrants for 1.) Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License, originating from Barrington Police Department and 2.) Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Larceny under $1,500, originating from the Barrington Police Department. This arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a call for debris in the roadway on Route 195 East in the City of East Providence. Orellana Sosa was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Sixth District Division Court arraignment date.
On Saturday October 10, 2026, at 8:41 AM, Troopers arrested Anthony Urizar Cano age 18, of 13 Marietta Street, Floor 2, Providence, Rhode Island on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the original charge of Possession of Marijuana More than Two (2) Ounces, originating out of the State Police Traffic Safety Unit. This arrest was the result of motor vehicle stop on Marietta Street in the City of Providence. Uziar Cano was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men's Intake Service Center.
On Saturday October 10, 2026, at 5:33 PM, Troopers arrested Christopher A. King, age 62, of 653 Wood Avenue, Woonsocket, Rhode Island for Driving Under the Influence of Liquor BAC 0.15 or Greater Second Offense. (Phase I. .236 Phase II .226.) This arrest was the result of Troopers responding to calls for an erratic operator and subsequently locating the vehicle on Eddie Dowling Highway, in the Town of North Smithfield. King was processed at the Lincoln Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult with a future Third Division District Court arraignment date.
