On October 13, 2026, members of the ACI Investigations Unit charged inmate Arlene Sands as a Fugitive from Justice out of Pima County, Arizona on the original charges of 1.) Forgery, 2.) Attempted Theft, 3.) Taking Identity of Another Person or Entity and 4.) Attempted Fraudulent Schemes and Artifices. The arrest was the result of an investigation by members of the ACI Investigations Unit and the ACI Records and Identification Unit. Ms. Sands was arraigned by Judge P. O'Neill where she waived extradition.
