On Friday, October 23, 2026, at 4:37 PM, troopers arrested Joseph Scapicchio, age 45, of 254 Burnside Avenue Apt #1, Woonsocket, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor - Second Offense (Phase I: 0.127% & Phase II: 0.132%), 2.) Possession of a Schedule I – V Controlled Substance – Greater than 10 Grams Less than 1 Ounce (Amphetamines), and 3.) Driving After Suspension of License – Fourth or Subsequent Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on West School Street in the city of Woonsocket. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men's Intake Center where he was held as a bail violator.
