At 5:13 PM, Troopers arrested William Awkerman, age 58, of 22 Clark Street, Westerly, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and/or Drugs – B.A.C. Unknown – First Offense and 2.) Duty to Stop for Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Vehicle. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Route 295 North in the Town of Johnston and subsequent motor vehicle stop. The subject was transported to State Police – Headquarters where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
At 1:20 AM, Troopers arrested Angelica Jasso, age 36, of 157 Valley Street, Floor 2, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – B.A.C. Unknown – First Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Westminster Street in the City of Providence. Jasso was transported to State Police – Headquarters where she was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult
