Central Falls“Main Street” Event for Buy Local RI Continues the Statewide Initiative to Grow Sales and Customer Base For Locally Owned Businesses
PROVIDENCE— Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts, Chair of the Small Business Advocacy Council, continues her “Main Street” walking tours of local businesses for the statewide initiative Buy Local RI, Wednesday, April 1st, at 2:00 p.m. on Dexter Street in Central Falls.
Buy Local RI launched last November with a public awareness campaign, encouraging Rhode Islanders to support our local businesses by shopping locally for the holidays. The “Main Street” events build on existing local initiatives that highlight the opportunity and benefits of choosing to Buy Local RI, not just during the holiday season, but also throughout the year.
The Buy Local RI initiative has also created a working group which is in the process of developing a website dedicated to expanding the market for local businesses and products by connecting people to Rhode Island businesses.
