Lt. Gov. Roberts to Address NIH Conference on Women's Health

Three-day conference in Providence to set agenda for the next ten years of NIH research on women’s health issues

PROVIDENCE— Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts will address the conference that sets the women’s health research agenda for the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Monday, September 21st, at 12:00 p.m., at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence. The three-days of public hearings and scientific workshops brings together renowned scientific researchers, women’s health advocates, public policy experts and health care providers to discuss the latest and most advanced techniques and methodologies in the field of women’s health research.

The conference, only the third held since the NIH created its Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH) in 1990, is a joint effort of ORWH in collaboration with Women & Infants Hospital and the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
